Love Island’s Laura Anderson and Dane Bowers split after five year on-off romance

Love Island’s Laura Anderson and Dane Bowers have split, after rekindling their romance in 2021.

The reality star, 33, who moved to Dubai last year to be closer to Dane, 42, confirmed the news on Instagram on Friday and revealed she will be moving back to the UK permanently.

Anderson wrote on her Instagram Story: "Just to let all of my beautiful support on here know that unfortunately Dane and I have decided to separate.

"Thank you all for your continued support. Sadly we’re just not right for each other but I do wish him nothing but love.

"I will be moving back to the UK as soon as I can. Roll on the rest of 2022, let’s make it count."

The Standard have contacted Laura Anderson and Dane Bower’s reps for comment.

The TV personality, who appeared in 2018’s Love Island, was first romantically linked to Bowers in November 2017 after meeting at a party.

However, their budding relationship came to an abrupt end when she discovered that the Another Level singer was seeing someone else six months in.

Previously discussing their split four years ago, Laura told The Sun in December: “We weren’t in a relationship at that point, and we never said we were exclusive, but I was disappointed, so I confronted him and ended it.”

Following her heartbreak, the former Emirates air hostess then signed up to Love Island, where she fell for model Paul Knops. Sadly, the pair parted ways soon after leaving the villa.

Then in 2021, Anderson revealed that she and Bowers had rekindled their romance three years on from their break-up, with the Scottish beauty moving to Dubai to be with him.

The couple appeared to be going from strength-to-strength - moving in together and starting fertility treatment to help them conceive.

In a candid Instagram Story earlier this year, Anderson told her followers: “So I have a little bit of a different post for you today, story shall I say.

“Some of you might know that Dane and I have been trying to have a baby - and sort of come into a few obstacles. So we’ve been lucky enough to visit an incredible doctor the past few weeks and today set in motion our fertility plan if you’d like.”
