A Love Island star is set to return to the hit ITV2 dating show seven years after her original appearance. Kady McDermott entered the villa back in 2016, in the second series of Love Island, hosted by the late Caroline Flack.
During her time on Love Island, Kady met Scott Thomas, and the pair finished the series in third place, with now-married couple Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde taking home the £50,000 cash prize. Kady and Scott, now aged 27 and 34 respectively, broke up the following year, with Kady since dating, and splitting from, Aston Villa footballer Matty Cash and TOWIE star Myles Barnett.
After a series of failed relationships, Kady is hoping to dip her toe back into the dating game and find love in the villa as she prepares to return to the show that made her a star. Kady is not the first former Love Islander to re-enter the villa, with Adam Collard's return sparking fury amongst viewers last summer, and Jessie Wynter appearing on the UK winter edition of Love Island after finding fame on the Australian version.

MailOnline reports that ITV bosses think Kady will be a mindblowing bombshell for series ten, which kicked off last week and is the second series of Love Island to be hosted by Bristol's Maya Jama, due to her fiery personality. Kady, who was 20 when she originally appeared on the dating show, is hoping to "finally find the man of her dreams".
A TV source told the publication that it is hoped Kady's reprised stint in the villa will go down just as well as in 2016. "Kady was a fantastic Islander in 2016," the insider said.
"She made brilliant television and bosses are hoping she can recreate the same magic in the villa this summer. She's also still looking for love so for Kady the hope is that she can finally find the man of her dreams.
"Olivia and Alex and Nathan and Cara from her series are happy, in love, and even have families of their own. Kady, especially now she's older and wiser when it comes to dating, is longing for the same fairytale ending."
Olivia and Alex Bowen met for the first time on Love Island back in 2016. They are now married and welcomed baby Abel into the world last summer.
There was a great deal of controversy sparked during Kady's season, when her fellow contestant Zara Holland had sex with Alex on television, causing her to be stripped of her Miss Great Britain title. This led to conversations around the mentality of the pageant community, who were branded as being old-fashioned and anti-feminist.

Zara was Kady's rival back in the second series as they competed against each other for Scott's attention, with Kady ultimately winning him over. After finishing in third place, Kady and Scott were together for a year and the pair moved in together in Manchester.
Since their break up, talent agency owner Scott has not dated anyone. Meanwhile, Kady is entering the villa to find love again following the dropping of several bombshells, including Charlotte Sumner and Leah Taylor.
