Love Island 's Jay Younger and Chyna Mills were the latest couple to be dumped from the Spanish villa on Monday evening.
Sunday night's instalment ended with the group being told which two couples had received the fewest votes.
After finding out that both Jay and Chyna and Dami Hope and Summer Botwe were in the bottom two and therefore vulnerable, the Islanders received a text which revealed: "Which couple is saved and which couple is dumped will be decided by your fellow Islanders."
Monday's episode began with both couples being asked to make their way to the sundeck as the Islanders deliberated on whom they wanted to save.
Due to Dami's connection with Indiyah, the group decided to save Dami and Summer.
"So, obviously it goes without saying that it's not been an easy decision," Gemma announced.
"I think it's the worst feeling having to send a couple home. I think we feel particularly bad for you girls because you've not had long in here to explore connections and we realise it's not a nice situation for you guys to in."
Irishman Dami was super grateful to have been chosen and told the group: "I appreciate you guys still though, I was pre-packing my bags in my head..."
Upon leaving the villa, Jay said: "I feel great, I feel like it was my time," before revealing what it was about Ekin-Su that had initially grabbed his attention.
"Ekin is obviously a beautiful lady, a very strong lady. I just thought she had a bit of a wild side to her and I thought, I’m here to have fun," Jay explained.
"She’s a really attractive girl, I got on well with her the best on our dates. I seemed to click with her instantly so I just thought, why not?"
Love Island fans had mixed feelings about Jay's departure, with one person writing: "Dami was one of my favourites in the beginning but now he annoys me. He had an amazing connection and blew it… he should be going home so Jay can crack on and find someone #loveisland."
However, another person tweeted: "I think Jay has been massively misunderstood and seems like a genuinely nice but a bit dry guy #LoveIsland," but then a third asked: "Why’s it taken this long for jay to go home? #LoveIsland."
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
