Love Island' s Danica Taylor has been warned against bombshell Jamie Allen's advances as a friend of the footballer has reportedly claimed he is just "desperate for fame".
The 27-year-old arrived in the villa alongside three other bombshells in a bid to woo the current Islanders away from their couples.
Jamie immediately made a beeline for Danica and the pair are set to enjoy a date and a steamy kiss during tonight's episode.
Danica, who has struggled to find love in the villa after a series of failed entanglements - the most recently being Billy, should stay on guard around Jamie... according to a pal.
A source told The Sun : "Jamie's been single for ages but always has a girl on the go - he's a bit of a player like that. He's not looking to fall in love - everyone thinks he just wants to be famous and be on TV."
They added that no one can understand why he has ditched his football career to go on a show with only a few weeks left.
The Mirror has reached out to ITV for comment.
However, Jamie previously insisted that he was joining the show because he wanted to find a genuine connection and fall in love.
Ahead of entering the villa, he said: "Now I am 27, I want to find someone, have a genuine connection and fall in love so Love Island is the perfect place for me to find that."
It comes after it was revealed Jamie walked out on pre-season training with FC Halifax Town so that he could appear on the ITV2 dating show.
Ahead of walking into the villa, Jamie teased about his prospects: "I shoot, I usually score, if I want something, I’ll go and get it.”
The club he left behind feel that Jamie may have scored an own goal as they released a statement via Twitter, which showed that he hasn't arrived on the show with their blessings.
FC Halifax tweeted: "Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of [heart emoji] Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.
“The matter will be reviewed on his return.”
Jamie had better hope that he returns with the love of his life as his football career may be in a cul-de-sac after he chose to pursue his dream of the perfect partner ahead of bonding with his teammates.
The bombshell was more of a lead balloon among Halifax fans, with one tweeting: "Jamie Allen from Halifax to Love Island on a short term loan."
Another was more cutting as they bemoaned in a tweet: "Jamie Allen, who signed a new contract at Halifax 11 days ago, f***s off to join the cast of Love Island.”
