Jamie Allen's future in professional football will be 'reviewed on his return' as he joins Love Island.
The footballer, who previously played for Southport, was announced as a new bombshell in today's spoilers for Love Island. He will join Lacey, Reece and Nathalia as he enters the villa tonight.
However, it has since emerged Jamie, 27, was contracted to National League team FC Halifax Town. On July 9, FC Halifax Town tweeted: "We are delighted to announce that Montserrat international Jamie Allen has committed his future to the club."

But following the news of his arrival in the Love Island villa, Halifax Town said: "Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him. The matter will be reviewed on his return."
Jamie said: “Now I am 27, I want to find someone, have a genuine connection and fall in love so Love Island is the perfect place for me to find that.
“I am just going to be myself, good vibes, good energy, get along with anyone, the boys, the girls but the main objective is to find someone so I am just going to be myself in the villa.”
He continued: "I play football every single day and in terms of stepping on people’s toes we are all in there for the same reason so I wouldn’t have a problem upsetting a few people.
“I am coming in a bit later so I probably will upset a few lads but you gotta do what you gotta do."
