Jacques O'Neill has walked out of the Love Island villa, having already hinted at his departure in last Friday night's episode.
The 23-year-old has made the decision to leave the ITV2 show, with his reason set to be broadcast in tonight's episode.
Jacques has left the island just hours after former Love Island star Adam Collard entered as a bombshell and set his sights on Jacques' partner Paige Thorne.
Jacques' relationship with Paige, 24, was left in turmoil after his Casa Amor antics and it seems the rugby player had already made his mind up about whether to stay or go.
During last Friday's episode, Jacques confided in Luca Bish following an emotional showdown with Welsh paramedic Paige.
Jacques told Luca: "There's no point me being here," after Paige told him she was done with all of his games.
Luca, 23, said: "Mate, she's going to forgive you."
Jacques then seemed to confirm his departure as he said: "Nah, she... I won't let her forgive me."
Following his shock exit from the show, a Love Island spokesperson said: "Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode.
"We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."
Some fans believe they have rumbled why Jacques has decided to exit the programme — and they involve Paige and 26-year-old Adam.
One person tweeted: "Adam really chased Jacques out the Villa tears, not even 24 hrs since Adam arrived."
Another said: "Adam really rattled Jacques enough to leave uno."
A third wrote: "So Jacques has left the villa? Adam gets s**t done! What a great bombshell," while someone else put: "Jacques left, Adam really got under his skin."
Others believe Jacques alluded to the possibility of leaving the show when he said he only wants Paige.
One viewer said: "So Jacques was speaking the truth when he said he only wants Paige and he will be done if she says so. Idk about you all but I think he was much better than Adam.
Another wrote: "My guess is that Paige has chosen Adam - Jacques made it clear if she didn’t want him he would leave!"
A third added: "Jacques really liked Paige and was being better. He left because he couldn't watch what he had just lost."
