Love Island's Iain Stirling is well known for making cheeky jibes as he narrates the popular dating series and Monday night's series opener was no different.
As the Scottish comedian got underway once again introducing the new villa and this year's contestants he amusingly threw in a dig at former Conservative MP Neil Parish, who resigned from his post earlier this year after being caught watching porn at the House of Commons.
He wasted no time in lambasting the shamed MP as he narrated: "Yes, we are back and the big news is, we’ve got a new villa. Incredibly, we managed to find one that’s got 57 cameras and a giant communal bedroom.
"I’ve no idea what this place was used for before but I looked into a draw and found handcuffs, lube and a copy of Tractors Monthly marked 'Property of the House of Commons'."
The savage dig references Mr Parish's claim that he was simply looking for tractors after he was caught looking at adult content by his colleagues.
As the story broke at the time, pals of the former MP from Devon tried to explain that he was looking for a certain brand of combine harvester called a "Dominator" and must have accidentally stumbled across the adult website.
He was immediately suspended from his role pending an investigation but resigned just days later.
The jibe by Iain was quickly picked up by viewers who took to social media to share their delight at his comment.
One Twitter user wrote: "Iain Stirling doing a politics related joke like 2 mins into the series is content we love to see #LoveIsland."
Another agreed and commented: "#LoveIsland kicking off with criticisms of the Tories, I’m so excited."
And a third added: "Oh how I've missed Iain Stirling's hilarious commentary the guy is a legend ...#LoveIsland."
It wasn't just his comment about the MP that got fans talking, either.
Other quips included a reference to Dami's quirky heart shaped birthmark and allegations Andrew had previously stolen a handbag from Sainsbury's.
Another user gushed: "Lmao the Sainsburys handbag joke. Iain Stirling makes love island."
This year's show got underway with an immediate twist after members of the public voted for who they'd like to partner up.
But it's all set to be shook up after Italian Stallion Davide entered the villa and has been given a free pass to pick the woman he'd like to shack up with.
