Love Island's Haris Namani 'devastated' over street fight video as he breaks silence

Love Island star Haris Namani has broken his silence on the street fight video that emerged earlier this week after being dumped from the villa.

After receiving the fewest votes from the public Haris, Anna-May, Tanya, Tom, Tanyel, and Kai were on the chopping block as the final decision was left to new Islanders Jessie and Aaron.

Haris, 21, and Anna-May, 20, got the boot as the boxer has now addressed the street fight video in his Love Island exit interview.

"I’m devastated that this video has been seen, it’s not a reflection of my character. I’m not someone that goes looking for fights and I didn’t want to be in that situation," he said of the incident.

"This was a heat of the moment thing. The video doesn’t show everything that happened. Afterwards we met up and we cleared the air; we’ve shaken hands and we get along now."

"It’s not something that would happen again," he concluded.

Footage of Haris Namani punching a man during a street fight has emerged (ITV)

The footage of Haris' street fight leaked earlier this week as Love Island bosses reportedly went into 'crisis talks' following the footage.

The boxer was videoed fighting after a boozy night out last year, where he knocks another man to the ground. The footage was said to be shared over social media app Snapchat at the time. In the video, Haris can be seen punching another man before shouting: 'I'm not a bully'.

One pal watching the scrap shouts: "Go on Haris." The Love Island star can then be seen throwing another punch whilst shouting: "I'm not a bully, I'm not a f*****g bully." He then says: "On my mum's life".

Speaking after his premature exit from the villa, and budding romance with ring-girl Olivia, he said: "I was just getting to know Olivia a bit more. It was hard for them to make that decision."

He continued: "Standing up there I did see I was the most vulnerable out of the two lads I was with. Tom’s good with Zara, Kai is good with Tanyel. Aaron did take Olivia for a date and he said it sort of went well.

"He’s not going to look at it and think, ‘I’ll keep Haris in for a friendship’. He’s most likely going to get to know Olivia. Whatever’s meant to be will be."
