Love Island star Gemma Owen has revealed boyfriend Luca Bish has hit it off with her footballer dad Michael as she reflected on their romance since leaving the ITV2 villa.
The 19-year-old sparked up a relationship with the fishmonger, 23, on this year’s instalment and it appears the Brighton native has quickly become part of her family.
Speaking to MailOnline, Owen said: “Luca fits in quite well and he gets on with my siblings, my mum and my dad as well.
“His family are lovely. too – I get on with all of them really well and have a good relationship with his sister. I have really enjoyed spending time in Brighton with them when I can and the same when he comes to Cheshire.
“In terms of my relationship and Luca – it’s all going really well. Luckily, we’re able to spend time together so the relationship is going really well and it’s all positive.”
Although their romance is going from strength to strength, the reality TV star admitted she won’t be moving in with Bish anytime soon unlike her Love Island co-stars, but is “happy” with their set-up as they fit each other around their “busy schedules”.
Unlike their co-stars, the couple opted not to make their relationship official in the villa, with Owen telling Bish that he had to meet her family and get their approval before she could commit.
At the end of August, Bish finally asked Owen to be his girlfriend, which was captured for their social media, with a balloon display, which read: “Will you be my girlfriend?” and gifted her a £6,500 Cartier bracelet.
Aside from their romance, Owen landed a “six-figure deal” with online clothing retailer PrettyLittleThing.
Her year-long partnership with the clothing brand will see her create content for the brand’s social-media channels and launch her own collections.
Not only that, but she will also help the brand launch PLT Marketplace, a platform where customers can resell clothes.
It is also is reported that she is set to star in another reality series which will follow the lives of footballers’ daughters as she navigates her own path away from being known just as the daughter of ex-England player Michael Owen.
The Sun revealed last month that Owen had been headhunted by Lime Productions to feature on the new show along with fellow footballer’s daughter Bianca Gascoigne.
