Gemma Owen is reportedly set to star in a new reality show next year with her footballer dad Michael.

The Love Island runner-up, 19, is said to be in “advanced talks” over a fly-on-the-wall series featuring herself and her famous father in a Kardashian-style show, giving insight into the lives of the Owen family.

Gemma lives with dad Michael in a £4 million Chester estate, along with Gemma’s mum Louise Bonsall, and three siblings Emily May, 14, Jessica, 12, and James Michael, 16, who may also feature in the upcoming series.

The Sun has reported that the reality show will most likely follow horse rider Gemma as she trains for an international dressage competition, while juggling her career as a young businesswoman.

Evening Standard has contacted Gemma’s representatives for comment.

Speaking on her ventures post-Love Island, Gemma recently told The Times: “There can be a stigma when you do a show like Love Island.

“But there are amazing opportunities too if you can just be yourself. I wanted to do it, but only if I could just be me: plain-spoken and real. I am good at not showing my feelings if I have to.”

The dressage champion added: “I got to watch up close how my dad handled things when football finished.

“Normal and grounded is good. Success can quickly change or fade. Family, friends and, for me, horses, are for ever.”

This report comes after Gemma announced her split with ex Luca Bish last month.

Last month Gemma split with ex Luca Bish, whom she met on Love Island (ITV)

In September, it was reported that the Love Island star would be potentially joining a show focusing on the lives of footballers’ daughters, following her success on the ITV 2 series.

A source told The Sun: “This is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.

“Lime is developing the concept now and ITV has shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.”

Gemma spoke of her hopes to return to TV screens as she attended PrettyLittleThing’s Christmas Party in Dublin last week.

She told Goss.ie: “We’re in talks of potentially having my own TV show which would be really exciting. Nothing is confirmed yet, but I’d definitely like to be back on TV soon.”
