Love Island’s Gemma Owen has banned her famous footie star father Michael from wearing her swim fashions.
She says he can’t model for her because he has a “dad bod”.
Gemma, 19, started her own business, OG Beachwear, before entering the ITV2 villa.
And even though Michael, 42, gave her the money to launch it, she’s given him the red card.
The former Liverpool and England ace said: “Well, apparently I’ve tried to wear some of the shorts and she’s said, ‘No dad bods’.”
“He’s banned,” Gemma added. Speaking to the Walking The Dog podcast, Michael said: “I’m banned – ‘no dad bods in my shorts’. I’m willing to put in a big order, but she’s still saying ‘no’.”
Gemma has been modelling her own creations while looking for love in Majorca.
Coupled up with fishmonger Luca Bish, 23, since the beginning, even his stint in Casa Amor couldn’t break them up.
Meanwhile, the show’s host Laura Whitmore is miffed that her husband is living it up in the Love Island sunshine while she stays at home.
She complained that narrator Iain Stirling is the “most tanned Scottish man” she’d ever seen and cannot understand why he gets to stay on site while she films from London.
Laura, 34, said: “Why does he have to be in Spain for the voiceover? I am like, ‘Why are you in Majorca?’ “He has to be there? To crack a tan?”
Laura – who became a mum for the first time last year when she welcomed a daughter with Iain, also 34 – says she’s even found herself mothering the contestants.
“I get a bit motherly and maternal,” she admitted on Radio 2. “You feel a bit protective of them.
“I went in this year, because it is hot and I’m Irish, so I have the SPF50 on and I see somebody and say, ‘Are you wearing suncream? Are you hydrated enough?’”
Friday’s episode saw Coco Lodge, 27, and Josh Samuel Le Grove, 22, exit the villa as the latest pair to be dumped after a public vote.
Josh was paired up with Summer Botwe, 22, and Coco was in a couple with Deji Adeniyi, 25.
Coco and Josh named Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, both 27, as the most genuine couple.
“You see them argue like any other couple would and then you see them come back to each other,” said Josh.
They’re like an old married couple,” added Coco. “They’re unbelievable together, they’re just legends and I’m obsessed with them as a couple.”
