Tonight's episode of Love Island is set to be even more dramatic than usual. A sneak peek into Monday night's instalment shows Gemma hitting out at Ekin-Su.
A teaser clip which was broadcast at the end of Sunday's episode saw the daughter of footballer Michael Owen get worked up after a fiery chat with Dami and Ekin. The footage begins with Dami saying to Gemma : "Obviously it's not gonna be a nice thing for Luca to hear, 'oh Gemma could have her head turned'."
"Which it wasn't even said like that or meant like that," Gemma quickly fired back. "Then relax!" Ekin-Su butts in, but 19-year-old Gemma is having none of it. "You can't drop a bomb and then tell me to f*cking relax," she fumes. But it's not clear what the bomb in question is exactly.
Gemma then says: "I think that's d*ckhead behaviour. Maybe you should just keep your nose out of other people's business and shut up!" Fans were left in the dark about whether Gemma is talking to Dami or Ekin-Su in the heated exchange, as they both appear to be in the firing line.
A longer clip, which was shown on Sunday night's episode of Aftersun, appeared to give viewers a bit more information. The contestants are lazing about on a large bed in the garden and Dami offers to read Gemma's mind.
"You like Luca but you're finding it tough to open up properly," he tells her. "It would take a lot for your head to turn but if someone came in that would 100 per cent you...." he continues as Ekin-Su agrees with his take.
A relaxed looking Gemma then replies: "No I don't think you're that far off..." but it seems shortly after that, things took a turn for the worse. The drama comes after Love Island viewers claimed that Luca is only 'obsessed' with Gemma because he actually knows that her dad is Michael Owen.
Ikenna told the Aftersun panel that he and the rest of the guys found out about Gemma's famous father on the "second or third day". Viewers instantly put two and two together, and took to twitter to comment.
"Now we see why Luca is attached to Gemma #LoveIsland," one person posted, while another said: "I think we all knew why Luca all of a sudden when googoo gaga over Gemma." A third person tweeted: "everyone knowing who gemma’s dad is after the 3rd day and luca getting really obsessive right after #LoveIsland."
