Love Island’s Faye Winter has revealed she’s been referred to her local breast care services after finding a lump in her armpit on holiday.
Faye was a finalist on the seventh series of Love Island in 2021. The Exeter born star has also appeared on Celebrity MasterChef.
The reality star has urged her followers to give themselves a check for any breast cancer symptoms. In a video uploaded to her Instagram Story, Faye addressed her fans’ worries about being “quiet” on social media since her recent girls’ holiday, reports MyLondon.

Faye said: “I don’t want to let anyone in too soon. I didn’t feel like there was a right time to speak to you guys, but I feel like today is probably the day for it and if one person, one person has a check today then I will be so happy, because I am going down for my breast care service two-week wait triple assessment.
“Um, whilst I was on holiday with my incredible girlies, which I love so much I was putting my sun cream on and I thought, ‘oh, what is she? She is new to my body,’ and I found a little lump.”
Faye explained she went to her doctor two weeks ago, who referred her to Torbay Hospital, in Devon, which she went to yesterday (Tuesday, June 6) for a mammogram and ultrasound. She said: “I’m sure it probably isn’t, it’s probably just a cyst or something.
"But it’s one of those things that has played on my mind, and I haven’t really been able to get it out of my mind which is fine, so there’s one thing I’m going to ask you guys to do today is just have a little check because the NHS has been incredible. This has been all within a month. So please have a little check, make sure everything’s okay and if there’s anything you’re worried about make sure you check out with your local GP.”
Faye then posted a photo of Torbay’s Breast Care Unit alongside the caption: “Here and got a puncture in my tyre”. After her appointment, she then posted a thank you to her fans and followers.
She said on her story, alongside tagging the charity Coopa Feel’s website link: “Thank you for all the support today! I’m going back to hospital on Thursday, will keep you all updated.
“I’m just going to leave this link here for anyone that needs to know how to check or what to look out for. Love you all.”
