Love Island star Faye Winter revealed her botched Botox left her feeling “the worst she’s ever felt.”
The 27-year-old appeared on This Morning alongside cosmetics doctor Amit Yvas, to share her mistakes and regrets about the beauty treatments she’s had in the past such as lip fillers and botox.
The first time the reality star had lip filler she went to a doctor, but admitted after that she opted for services she found on Instagram with people who weren’t medically trained.
“The first time I got it done she was brilliant, she took me through everything,” Faye explained to hosts Phil Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
“She gave me a week to see if it was something I wanted to have done or not, and then after that I felt like I’ve been told it once, I’ve been explained it.”
However, when she went to future clinicians that she found on social media, Faye was “never explained” any of the risks or medical complications from the procedures again.
Sadly, the Botox she received was injected incorrectly and it left her forehead heavy and frozen, as her eyebrows dropped and it took 12 weeks for it to get better.
“My Botox was the worst I’ve ever felt and my full forehead was paralysed,” Faye added.
Doctor Amit explained that once Botox has been “given it can’t be taken away” so you have to wait for it to settle if it’s been administered by someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.
Faye also revealed it wasn’t until she went on Love Island that she agreed with her parents that her lips looked “big and silly” with 4ml of filler.
Before she entered the villa, Faye was at “the most confident she ever felt” but when she saw herself from a “different perspective” she dissolved her filler.
“Oh I did,” she said about feeling confident, “I didn’t see it as a problem at all, I thought my lips looked great. Until I came out and saw myself from a different perspective, obviously when I saw myself on the show I was like ‘oh ok. I saw the difference.’
“It wasn’t the comments, it wasn’t anyone else, but I saw it for the first time instead of just looking in the mirror and seeing it.”
Faye went onto have further complications when she dissolved the filler and found her lips were left overstretched and “wrinkly.”
She continued: “I had them dissolved and instantly I could see they were going down and I had small lips again, and obviously with that I’d lost full elasticity in my lips. So I had very wrinkly lips so at that point I then had to go and have 0.5 put back in which is what I’ve got now.”
Now Faye is thrilled with how her lips look as it was how she “always wanted” them.
“This is the look I always wanted and this is the look I thought I had,” she explained, “until now when I’m like, ‘I only needed 0.5’ but what I did need was a medically trained professional to do it.”
