Love Island's Antigoni slams Photoshop fail claims as she poses with Laura Whitmore

Love Island star Antigoni Buxton has hit back at those who claimed they spotted a Photoshop fail in her snap with Laura Whitmore.

The pair posed for a photo backstage at Aftersun following Antigoni's departure from the ITV2 villa last month.

In the snap, presenter Laura, 37, can be seen wearing a floral print dress while cuddling up to the dumped Islander.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Antigoni beamed in a leopard print maxi dress which perfectly emphasised her curves.

The former Love Island star shared the photo to her profile on July 6, telling fans: "Had so much fun at Aftersun on Sunday chatting to the gorgeous @thewhitmore."

However, fans of the ITV2 series later claimed they noticed a slight issue with the photo as they claimed the pillow in the bottom right of the snap appears to look distorted.

Hinting at the potential Photoshop fail, one user said: "That poor pillow."

Another added: "She thought blurring the edges was gonna convince us."

Alongside a crying emoji, a third wrote: "The wavy pillow."

But Antigoni has since proved the wavy pattern on the pillow isn't down to Photoshopping as she shared a video of the snap being taken, which shows the pattern on the pillow to be the same in the image the star shared.

As she shared the clip on her Twitter, the Islander posted a smiling face emoji and kiss emoji. After proving the critics wrong, she added in a later tweet: "Moral of the story: always take live photos".

It comes days after Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned winners of the ITV2 show.

The Italian stallion and soap actress scooped the £50,000 prize, when they secured the most votes from the audience, with Gemma and Luca Bish coming second in the reality show.

Their fiery romance captivated the nation, as the pair fell out numerous times, particularly over Ekin's secret balcony snog with bombshell Jay, but always came back together in the end.

In their first live interview since leaving the villa, the couple revealed they are hoping to find a place to live together next month, when they appeared on Loose Women yesterday.

The loved up pair were joined by host Ruth Langsford, Nadia Sawalha, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford as Ekin-Su admitted their win still “hasn’t sunk in”.

They also jokingly rowed about who takes longest to get ready for a night out.
