Love Island is officially here with the winter edition of the popular ITV2 dating show kicking off on Monday, January 16. Filmed in South Africa, you can find out more about the location here, the 2023 series has welcomed new presenter Maya Jama and a fresh batch of contestants all hoping to be lucky in love.
One of the original cast members is Anna-May Robey, during the first episode the Swansea-born payroll administrator chose to couple up with Kai Fagan before he was stolen by Olivia Hawkins. The Welsh contestant then decided to pair up with Haris Namani. You can read more about the brutal coupling up ceremony here.
Ahead of her debut, Anna-May, who describes herself as "energetic" and a "chatterbox", said she joined the show to find a boyfriend who can make her laugh. The 20-year-old explained: "I've been single for quite a while, my mother is bugging me, she's like, 'You need to find a boyfriend.' I'm just excited to try something new and I think going on Love Island is a good way to meet someone."

And while Anna-May has swapped Swansea for South Africa, the Islander has given fans a glimpse into her life at home on Instagram. In a flurry of photos, the reality television star looks stunning on nights out with friends in Cardiff, London and Manchester.
In one image the payroll administrator poses in an all white and grey living room. A stylish homemade bar can been see in the background complete with a rack for hanging wine glasses and a tray with spirit measures and cocktail glasses on.
Anna-May looked gorgeous in the snap as she posed in a cream dress, matching bag, and perspex heels for Beaujolais Day. In a second image, she posed in an all-marble bathroom with a huge mirror and silver accessories, wearing a mini black dress she simply captioned the image with a black heart.
In another, Anna-May posed with a cocktail in hand in a kitchen with a breakfast bar and plush white leather stools in the background. Ahead of her Love Island debut, the Swansea-born star said she plans to bring fun to the villa and said she's always up for a laugh.
She explained: "If someone tells me to go and dive in the pool I will probably do it," she said. "I'll bring energy to the villa, I'll get everyone up playing games! I'm also not afraid to get in someone's way; if I like someone, I'll let them know."
She joins Michelle Keegan body double and Bond star Olivia Hawkins, farmer and TikTok star Will Young, and student and influencer Tanya Manhenga in the villa.
Also in the 2023 line-up are science and PE teacher Kai Fagan, makeup artist Lana Jenkins, financial advisor Ron Hall, hair stylist Tanyel Revan, airport security officer Shaq Muhammad, and TV salesman Haris Namani. You can see the Love Island 2023 line-up in full here.
