Love Island's Amy Hart has revealed she struck up a surprise friendship with Darius Campbell Danesh when she was just "an air hostess from Worthing".
The reality star, 30, paid tribute to the singer on Instagram on Wednesday, a day after it was announced Darius was tragically found dead in his flat in America aged just 41.
Sharing a selfie on her stories with the Colourblind hitmaker, Amy recalled how Darius would take herself and her mother out for dinner, years before she propelled to fame on reality TV herself.

Amy wrote: "Thanks for caring and being my friend when I was an air hostess from Worthing. Nothing to gain from our friendship (except my top quality voice notes obvs).
But still wanted to be my mate. Could have hung out with anyone but would take me and my mum for dinner or drag Luke and I out clubbing. Hadn't spoken for a few years but the best memories. So sad."
Amy worked as an air hostess before joining the 2019 series of Love Island where she had an ill-fated romance with Curtis Pritchard.
The television personality joins legions of stars who have paid tribute to to the singer after news of his sudden passing.
Former Pop Idol hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly also remembered the singer, tweeting: “We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh at such a tragically young age.
“We had many laughs with him on his Pop Idol journey. Our hearts go out to his lovely family. #RIP” followed by a praying hands emoji.
While Gareth Gates shared: "I can’t quite believe the news of my dear friend Darius passing. I’m heartbroken.
"Darius took me under his wing during our time in Pop Idol, like a big brother; always looking out for me and for that I thank you my friend.
"I will miss our chats. He was one of the most beautiful, intelligent and gentle souls I was lucky enough to know, a soul that lit up every room.
"Goodbye my friend. Forever in my heart x".
Darius' cause of death is not yet known, with further investigations being done.
