Love Island's Afia admits Ikenna was the man she was attracted to in the villa

Love Island bombshell Afia Tonkmor left the famous villa last night after the first dumping of the series took place around the firepit. She and paramedic Paige were the only single girls and new boy Jacques O’Neill chose to couple up with the latter, meaning Afia was left single and departed the villa.

Afia was in the Love Island villa for less than a week after arriving with actress Ekin-Su in Wednesday's (June 8) episode on ITV2. On their first night, the pair had a date with Welsh student Liam Llewellyn, but neither of them hit it off with him.

When Afia went into the villa, she then made it clear to Ekin-Su that it was in fact Nottingham boy Ikenna that she was attracted to. But said for her, Ikenna is in a couple with Indiyah Polack and as a result, Afia could not really hit it off with her preferred choice.

Afia was also unable to hit it off with another boy in the villa and after her departure, she has confessed that she was initially attracted to Irish boy Dami, but quickly realised it was Ikenna who she liked. She has said: "Initially I was attracted to Dami but then throughout the experience it was more Ikenna. I did get the vibe that things were going well for Indiyah and Ikenna quite quickly."

Despite liking her man, Afia also said that in the villa it was Indiyah who she was closest to. She said: "I was particularly close to Indiyah. We were very similar."

Afia also admitted that she would not do anything different if she went into the villa again. She said: "I feel like I stayed true to myself so I’d do things the same."

After leaving the villa, Afia said she is still trying to find Mr Right, saying: "Obviously I’m going to miss everyone in the Villa but I’m going to keep trying to find love. I’m sure Mr Right is out there somewhere."

Despite not finding love, Afia admits she has found things out about herself during the experience. She has said: "I’ve learned that I can be a bit shy and it takes me a bit of time to come out of my shell. But I maybe learned to put myself out there a bit more. I did learn a few things."

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
