Love Island stars Adam Collard and Paige Thorne have officially split.
The pair got together after Collard, 26, joined the ITV2 series halfway through this summer’s series, becoming the first past contestant to re-enter as a bombshell.
Rumours began emerging that the Islanders had split, after Thorne, 24, deleted all trace of Collard on her Instagram this month, following him being filmed with a blonde woman on a night out.
The personal trainer was also seen in pictures obtained by The Sun kissing a mystery brunette while on a solo holiday in Bali.
Collard has since confirmed his split with Thorne, breaking his silence on the matter as he attended the National Television Awards on Thursday night.
Speaking with OK! magazine, Collard simply commented: “It is what it is.”
Love Island winner Ekin-Su CülcüloÄlu addressed the pair’s split days ago, as she said Thorne “can do better”, making her thoughts on Collard’s behaviour clear.
CülcüloÄlu, 28, told The Mirror: “It’s over. It’s done. I think Paige can do better, that’s all I can say.
“Love Island is a bubble, it’s almost like a different world – it’s not real. But, when you come out and get... men will love the attention when they come out, it’s overwhelming but, Adam’s already had that. So, I just felt it was a bit wrong.
“I was not happy about that because I thought they were great. I like Adam, he’s a lovely guy, I just didn’t think it was fair on her.”
Last month, Collard was seen in a circulated video with his arm around a blonde woman in McDonald’s during a night out.
Collard’s rep stated that there was “nothing” to the clip, commenting: “Adam headed to McDonald’s after a night out with friends.
“His friends were alongside him when a group of girls asked for photos and Adam, being his friendly self, was open to posing and chatting to the girls, alongside other fans who wanted to chat in the same video.
“Adam understands how this video looks but wants to state that he left the restaurant with his friends and a box of 60 nuggets (with nothing or no-one else), with the intention of getting home safely.”
