Love Island's Adam Collard breaks silence on Paige split amid cheating accusations

Love Island's Adam Collard has broken his silence on his split from Paige Thorne amid accusations he cheated on her.

The 26-year-old was seen with his arms wrapped around another girl in McDonald's when he was still with the Welsh paramedic, 24, - prompting fans to think he was doing the dirty.

Student Annie, 18, exclusively told the Mirror her interaction with the bombshell "was so innocent, there was literally nothing wrong.”

And now Adam has finally given his side of the story.

The personal trainer conceded he was wrong to put his arms around Annie - but insists the pics were 'misinterpreted'.

Explaining that he'd taken several photos with fans during the day before going to McDonalds with pals, he said: "In there was when we met the blonde girl [from the video]. She actually was really nice and polite, but she said 'I got in tonight to the club but my friends didn't.'

"So what you don't actually see in the video is the camera goes around and I get photos with all of her friends like that and take pictures with all of them," reports The Sun.

Adam insisted that was 'all that happened' in the now viral video, adding he went home by himself after he got his food and that the whole thing got 'blown out of proportion'.

Annie echoed this when speaking to us, saying: “He [Adam] ended up putting his arm around me as we chatted some more, but there was nothing happening in the chat, it was so innocent, there was literally nothing wrong.

“It wasn't like he had flirted and I was egging him on and he was flirting back, it was nothing like that, how people have described.

“I don't know Paige but whatever he was doing, it wasn't bad. So I didn't feel like, ‘Oh god like he's got a girlfriend.’”

However, Paige wasn't having any of it and Adam said he knew it was the 'beginning of the end' of their relationship when the video went viral.

Breaking her silence on the pair's relationship, Paige said on the Saving Grace podcast: "I'm single – living my best life. No I'm kidding, it's been a really s**t time."

Opening up about the cheating allegations, she alleged Adam was 'not friends' with Annie and there was more damning video evidence in circulation.

"It's not just that video. There are other videos that people don't know about of different people, on the same night, in different locations," she said.

"At first, I was like, nah do you know what? It's just an arm. I get that people get flirty. There's nothing to it. If I'm in the club and a guy puts his arm around me, is it cheating? No.

"And then these other videos came out and I'm just like, ooh. Ooh, I can't justify this."

Paige claimed the videos show Adam and women in the VIP toilets of a club and ruled out any chance of the couple reconciling.

She continued: "I mean, would you? Would you get back with someone like that? The videos speak for themselves. The ones everyone has seen and the ones only I've seen."

Speaking on the videos, Adam told The Sun: "I think she [Paige] knows the truth about all of that, and to be honest I'm not bothered about anyone's opinion, only hers."
