Love Island reportedly bringing back fan favourite islanders for 'All Stars' series

ITV bosses are reportedly recruiting some of Love Island's most popular cast members for an 'All Stars' edition of the show. Sources have claimed that a number of the villa's hottest residents from various seasons will come together for the epic spin-off series.

The Sun reports that some of the sexy single stars who may be re-entering the villa include fifth series star Maura Higgins, Sophie Piper from series six, and second series islander Kady McDermott. Of course, ITV is also eyeing up men from past series of Love Island to join the girls in the villa.

"Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about," a source told The Sun. "This summer's series marks the tenth series of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.

"The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around. Women like Maura, Sophie and India would be top of ITV’s wish list, while male stars including former 2017 series winner Kem Cetinay and fan favourite Scott Thomas, who was in the show in 2016, are also on the wish list."

If the Love Island spin-off goes ahead, it certainly won't be the first all-stars series ITV has put together. An I'm A Celebrity All Stars series is due to air this summer after filming took place last year, and will see familiar celebrity faces enter the jungle once more.

Kem Cetinay is reportedly one of the islanders that ITV has its sights set on (ITV)

Clifton Countdown clever clogs Carol Vorderman, Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, boxer Amir Khan and Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell jetted out to South Africa in late 2022 to film the special series. The insider added: "ITV want to see how well their All Stars version of I’m A Celebrity goes down before they start moving forward with Love Island.

"They will be watching very closely how the public and fans react and will be taking down notes."

Bristolian bombshell Maya Jama made her debut as the new face of Love Island last month as the ninth series kicked off. She replaced Laura Whitmore, who announced after the eighth series wrapped up last summer that she would be stepping away from hosting duties after three series; Laura took over from the late Caroline Flack in early 2020.

Maya will return to Love Island for another series in June, when all the action will unravel in Majorca once again. Many fans have thoroughly enjoyed Maya, who grew up in Bristol and went to Cotham School, being at the centre of all the drama, especially with the incredible looks she has been wearing to slow-mo strut into the villa.
