Love Island recoupling: Who is coupled up, who is single and who went home after Casa Amor 2023?

It's the moment Love Island viewers have all been waiting for: the explosive and drama-inducing post-Casa Amor recoupling. And boy was it a good one with several of the Villa's original's boys and girls switching up their couples, opting for one of the new bombshells. Here we take a look at the drama that unfolded on Thursday, Februrary 16 and all the brand new couples.

Once news of the recoupling hit both villas, all Islanders were sent into a frenzy as it forced them to think (not so) long and hard about where their heads and hearts lay, with Casey telling new bombshell Cynthia: "There’s going to be some broken hearts."

Over the last few days, viewers have watched on as the girls left the main Villa to go to Casa Amor just a stone's throw away. As the boys stayed put, the two groups were respectively introduced to six new bombshells each whose main aim was to turn some heads - and it seems their job was well and truly done. Tom, Will, Kai and Casey all found a certain connection with another girl - with whom they shared a kiss outside of any challenges. But did they stick or twist?

Will's betrayal of Jessie - who pined after the 23-year-old farmer and stayed true to him whilst out of the main villa - caused outrage among Love Island fans as they saw him crack on with new bombshell Layla before he realised his true feelings for Jessie, telling the boys he regretted the decision. Read more on that here. Meanwhile in Casa Amor, Olivia and Tanya were both seen making moves on new boys Maxwell and Martin.

The recoupling may come too soon for some Love Island 2023 viewers who were calling for the return of a certain segment: the Casa Amor postcard, which gave Islanders a sneak peek at what their partners had been up to while away.

However, it was soon decision time as Maya Jama made a welcome entrance, reuniting the boys, girls and bombshells. Entering the Villa, the 2023 host of Love Island, who took over from Laura Whitmore on the ITV2 show, said: “Casa Amor is the ultimate relationship test, it’s a test of trust. Do you trust that your girl has stayed loyal to you or do you think she will have strayed? I’m going to ask you one by one whether you want to stick with your current partner or whether you want to recouple with one of these girls standing right in front of you.”

She added: “The girls at Casa Amor have also been given the choice of whether they want to stick with you or recouple with one of the new boys. It’s time to make your decisions and also find out what the girls have chosen to do.”

But who stuck in their original couples? Who had their head well and truly turned? And who has been left single? Read on to find out...
