Body language expert says Love Island couple Gemma Owen and Luca Bish are not compatible

Love Island has now been back just over a week and the Islanders are finding their feet in the villa. With a shock exit and a recoupling having already taken place, it is safe to say that tensions are high on the Island.

Once again, the series promises lots of drama as viewers have already been treated to love-triangles and dumping's from the villa. 2022 was not the year for Islander, Afia, as she was cruelly dumped from the Island as Jacques O'Neill chose to partner up with Swansea paramedic, Paige Thorne.

But just how compatible are the newly-formed couples? Luckily, enthusiasts Reboot SEO company have been exploring just that. The team, who have partnered with Body Language expert Inbaal Honigman, are intent on uncovering the strongest couple in the villa. With Welsh Islander Paige the bookies favourite to bring the title home, lets find out who Inbaal thought suits each other the most.

Andrew and Tasha

Things hotted up between Tasha and Andrew on Tuesday's episode (ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Chemistry score: 90%

Inbaal said: “As soon as he stands up to speak, his nerves are evident. He's not just shuffling his feet - he's practically hopping from side to side, he is worried whether she'll accept him or not. For a guy who likes to appear confident, this is an expression of his honest truth. She gazes right ahead at him, which shows that she knows he's picking her, and his nerves feed her confidence.

As they kiss, her hand lingers on his shoulders for longer than it needs to. This is a reassuring gesture - she feels moved to calm his nerves and show him that she is there for him. As they settle into their seats, their fingers fully entwine. They're truly thankful they've found each other.”

Amber and Dami

Lovers from the start but will Amber and Dami claim the Love Island crown? (ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Chemistry score: 80%

Inbaal said: “Both of them look down at their toes before Dami announces her name. This is unusual for any of the confident islanders! It is not only a sweet gesture of nerves and shyness, but also shows how they're starting to mirror each other's body language. They're growing fonder of one another, and this results in them starting to behave like each other.

As they sit down, he puts a possessive arm over her shoulder, delighted that no one stole her from him, and she adjusts her dress in a way that shows she still wants to impress him. She is clearly moved by his loving words and expresses her thanks directly to him. He is starting to fall.”

Ikenna and Indiya

Chemistry score: 65%

Inbaal said: “When he knows he's going to call her, he's standing in a very neutral way, confident but not cocky, legs spread, leaning lightly - just chilled. This posture shows that he feels secure that she'd be happy to be called forward, but her face doesn't reciprocate that security.

Her smile doesn't spread to her eyes, her arms don't reach out to him - she's fine with being picked, but as they embrace again and sit down, no one looks overly excited. He reaches for his mouth, which suggests he may not be saying all that he is thinking.”

Luca and Gemma

It has been a rocky start for Gemma and Luca (ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Chemistry score: 50%

Inbaal said: “This is one nervous guy! Rubbing his hand over his mouth, he shows he's not trusting what he's about to say. He's holding his hands in front of him, then behind him, not trusting what he's about to do. He is struggling to focus because he doesn't know whether the decision he made is right for him - and if the decision was right for her.

They hug each other with only one arm each, which shows that they're both being cautious - his other hand is all the way behind his back! But those hugging arms are outstretched. They're both willing to give it a chance and see what happens. Slightly apart, they position themselves next to each other, and his face is a delight. To be fair, so is hers, they're excited.”

Davide and Ekin-Su

Lust rather than love for Davide and Ekin-Su? (ITV)

Chemistry score: 25%

Inbaal said: “When Davide delivers his introduction, he is far from happy. He is swaying back and forth in a gesture that's slightly annoyed, trying to process what just happened. He's saying kind words, but his face is motionless, as if he's trying to stop himself displaying how he really feels.

She's the exact opposite. When her name is called, she lets her face do all the talking. In a sweet pout she sends him a warm glance to reassure him and doesn't hesitate as she walks towards him. Their bodies meet in a cold embrace, and they sit together a little stiffly, like strangers on a packed train, but her face shows that she's pleased to be picked by him.”

There we have it. According to Inbaal, the least compatible couple in the villa is Davide and Ekin-Su. Whilst Paige and Jacques are still in their early days, it is, no doubt, impossible to determine their compatibility just yet. What do you think? Do you agree? Let us know in the comments
