Furious viewers of Love Island have slammed rapper Stefflon Don after she openly speculated about Mehdi Edno’s sexuality on Aftersun.
The 31-year-old artist provoked an angry reaction from fans, who were incredulous she would make the claims during Pride Month.
Stefflon, real name Stephanie Allen, made the remark during an appearance on Aftersun, while talking about the 26-year-old model, who entered the villa on day one of the 10th series.
She appeared quick to leap to conclusions while speaking as one of the guests on Sunday’s programme, sparking outrage among fans of the show on Twitter.
"I don’t know if he even likes females, I’m not going to lie,’ she told presenter Maya Jama, 28, and the live audience.
"Oh no," Maya said while the audience collectively gasped before booing in response.
"I’m not sure you know," Stefflon continued. "Or he likes both. He’s giving a bit of both."
Maya then intercepted: "He can do whatever he likes, but…"
Viewers quickly took to social media to call out the outrageous behaviour.
“In all seriousness this is very crass this is far too common didn’t think I’d see it on national television the casual homophobia you see on here,” one said.
“plssss steff is not getting invited back again,” another added.
‘It’s one thing to question a man’s sexuality openly, another to do it on national telly, but the worst to do it during pride month when everyone’s pretending to care that extra bit,’ one blasted.
Another said: ‘To go on live TV during pride month and openly speculate about someone’s sexual identity is so wrong and so nasty.’
Medhi is currently coupled up with Whitney Adebayo, 25, in the villa, but the pair have endured a few bumps in the road to love.
He previously admitted to wanting to get to know Leah, despite being coupled with Whitney, and tonight's first look shows the pair embroiled in a furious row after Sunday evening's pulse raising challenge.
