Reality stars from around the world are being given a second chance at romance in a spin-off to Love Island, with Curtis Pritchard, Eyal Booker, and Megan Barton Hanson set to feature.
Maya Jama will host Love Island Games — which will bring a new format to the ITV series and, while not quite the Olympics, will add an element of competition.
More than 25 stars from the British show as well as spin-offs from around the world are set to take part, while Iain Stirling will return to provide commentary.
Filming is underway in Fiji and Love Island UK fifth series contestant Maura Higgins is promoting the show on social media.
A whole host of favourites are getting ready to battle in a series of competitive games of love. Here is what viewers can expect.
How does Love Island Games work?
Twenty-six former contestants from past Love Islands are back on TV, having not found lifelong partners the first time around.
The new format focuses on challenges like never before — putting emphasis on competing to win the affections of another. There are also games for when the singletons have coupled up.
To add further elements of drama, there will also be recouplings, arrivals, and eliminations, as well as new competition twists.
When will Love Island Games be on TV?
The series will start on ITV from Wednesday, November 1. It has not been confirmed how many episodes there will be or when ir ends.
Who will be on Love Island Games?
Big names, as far as Love Island goes, will be returning from the UK — which actually has put forward the bulk of the contestants.
Curtis Pritchard is a professional dancer and has appeared on the Irish version of Strictly but is perhaps also known as the brother of Britain’s Got Talent star and former Strictly professional dancer AJ Pritchard. Curtis took part in series five of Love Island. He formerly dated Maura Higgins.
Megan Barton Hanson is also back on the show, having seen her romance with Wes Nelson wind up, and after dumping fellow contestant Eyal on the original. Awkward. She has also starred in Ex on the Beach, which may or may not have prepared her for Love Island Games.
There is also room for Georgia Steel, who was a favourite on series four.
Are there any prizes?
It is not known if there will be prizes after each game, or a final big-money prize for a winning couple at the end. However, ITV has been contacted by the Evening Standard for comment.
