Love Island first look as opera singer Alfie Boe is spotted serenading contestants

With the final of Love Island just around the corner, the remaining couples are set to go on their final dates with each other on the show. A teaser for Thursday's (July 28) episode has revealed that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti arrive at a breathtaking amphitheatre-style setting for their date. It is there that they are greeted by a surprise guest singer - opera singer, Alfie Boe.

During Alfie's performance, an almost speechless Ekin-Su admits how she’s feeling, telling Davide: “I feel like I’m in a dream.” He proposes a toast in response: “To our beautiful experience and hopefully we will last forever - it will last forever.”

Relishing in her 'dreamy' date, Ekin-Su adds: “This is probably the most romantic date I’ve ever been on in my life. I just can’t get over this. It’s everything I’ve always wanted.” She becomes tearful as they both listen to Alfie sing.

During their time in the villa, Davide and Ekin-Su's relationship has been on/off. The pair, who have had their fair share of drama across the series, are favourites to win this year, after constantly being drawn back towards each other after explosive rows. The pair recently partook in Love Island's iconic baby challenge, which you can read about here.

Alfie Boe's appearance on Love Island has prompted viewers to react on social media. One person said: "Alfie Boe on Love Island tonight?? Very surprised! One of the best voices ever!!"

The singer shared his own relationship struggles during BBC's Freeze the Fear earlier this year. Boe and his wife Sarah had separated in a "very amicable" way. Despite this, he openly talked about his struggles with depression on the BBC show.

Another person simply said: "Is that Alfie Boe? You're joking," upon hearing that the singer would feature on Love Island.

A third person echoed the sentiment and wrote: "Not Alfie Boe," followed by a series of crying emojis

Elsewhere in Thursday's (July 28) episode, Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne and her partner, Adam Collard, board a stunning boat where they discuss meeting each other's parents. The pair were saved during Wednesday's (July 27) episode.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
