Love Island viewers are loving new host Maya Jama - and think she may have "thrown shade" at her exes, rapper Stormzy and NBA star Ben Simmons .
The TV presenter and DJ, who has taken over the reigns from Laura Whitmore, dated the rapper between 2015 and 2019. When he was interviewed by Louis Theroux last year, Stormzy admitted he made 'mistakes' in his relationship with Maya.
And he described their break-up as the “biggest catalyst for growth” as well as “the biggest loss a man can have”. However, in the opening episode of Love Island Maya said "trust me, I know" during a discussion about never finding a true love match.
