Love Island fans have been left puzzled as one bombshell went 'missing' days into the new series.
The ITV2 show returned for a new series earlier this week, with three bombshells having already entered the villa alongside the original 10 contestants. Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, 25, a Model and Property Developer from London, and David Salako, a 24-year-old Money Advisor from Essex, entered the villa last night and Tom was chosen by the public as a bombshell.
However, Ellie Spence was also listed as one of the potential bombshells set to enter the villa - but she has yet to make an appearance on the ITV2 show despite being heavily promoted by ITV.
Her disappearance left fans puzzled - as they wondered why she hadn't joined the ITV2 show as part of the second set of bombshells.
"JUSTICE FOR ELLIE #LoveIsland," one wrote on Twitter, as another added: "Are we getting that Ellie girl at some point? Imagine being in that much promo and not getting even a day in the villa. #LoveIsland."
A third shared: "Missing: Ellie Because where is this girl she was supposed to be in the original line up #LoveIsland."
"Does Ellie not get to enter the villa or is she coming in much later? #LoveIsland," a fourth added, with a fifth sharing: "But like what’s up with the Ellie girl? Did the producers forget her on the airport or what? #LoveIsland."
Ahead of the show starting, viewers were given a chance to vote which bombshell they wanted to enter first, with fans being asked to choose between Norwich-based Ellie, a Business Development Executive at a law firm, and Tom, a Semi-Pro Footballer from Barnsley. Speaking before she joined the show, Ellie said she was ready "to find a husband".
"I’ve been single for three years and the roster is pretty dry, it’s been dry for the last year, I don’t know what happened, it’s just not been a great time for me so I’m ready to find my husband," she shared.
"I’m single because I fall in love really quick, but I fall out of it just as quickly. I could literally fall in love with a chair and then a week later be like, ‘Oh wait, no, that's a chair…’ I fall in love quickly because I build up a character of someone in my head and then they breathe in the wrong direction and I’m like, 'Next!' I fall in love quickly, but I can fall out of it just as quickly."
The viewers went on to vote in semi-professional footballer Tom, meaning Ellie hasn't been selected to go into the villa.
