Love Island viewers were emotional after Ron Hall opened up about the football accident that led to him being blind in one eye.
The contestant, who is the first-ever partially sighted person on the show, coupled up with Lana Jenkins during the first episode earlier this week.
On Tuesday night's episode, there wasn't a dry eye at home as he discussed the tragic injury and endless operations.
When he was eight years old, he lost sight in one eye while playing football. He was kicked in the face and was knocked unconscious while going for a header.
However, he still went back onto the pitch and continued with the game even when he couldn't see out of his eye.
"Obviously not a sob story so don't give me any sympathy. I'm actually blind in one eye," he told Lana.
He added: "Nothing bad or anything. It was football. I was eight, I think eight/nine. I was in football, I went down and the ball came over.
"I went down to head the ball, he cut me with his foot and sort of knocked me out and it detached my retina.
"I had loads of operations as a kid trying to fix it but after I don't know how many - five or six - they basically said 'You know, you're not going to get the sight back in it'."
Fans were emotional watching the scenes unfold and took to social media to gush over his personality.
"Honestly the way that Ron is so open and not insecure about his eye is so heartwarming, proud of him and I don’t even know him," one user said.
Another added: "Awwww I really like Ron and Lana. Him opening up to her about his eye was cute."
"Protect Ron at all costs please because I am obsessed," one person posted.
One person posted a crying reaction picture and said: "Honestly just wanna see Ron find the love of his life then I can be in peace."
Before entering the South African villa, Ron opened up about his partial blindness.
"I just think of myself as normal, although yeah I am disabled and I don’t mind the label. If I can bring awareness and be vocal about it, then fantastic," he said.
"If there’s someone sitting at home, there’s another lad or girl who’s partially sighted or feels a bit insecure about something to do with their vision, whether it’s blind in one eye, or whatever the situation is, and I can make an impact on them to say, ‘You know what, this guy is confident and he’s gone on this show and he’s still talking to girls with no problem even though he’s got “something wrong with him”‘ then yeah, that’s fantastic if I can do that."
