ITV2's Love Island has confirmed that drama is ahead as one of the show's biggest twists is set to land tonight, July 1. This year's contestants will be split tonight and put in two separate villas as Casa Amor makes a return for 2022 - with one islander in particular hoped to turn her head.
Casa Amor, which translates to 'Love House' in Spanish, will see couples and new additions to the show pushed to their limits. The return of Casa Amor was announced at the end of Thursday's episode, on June 30.
The dramatic news came at the end of an already explosive episode, which saw three couples at risk of being kicked off the show. The three couples who have received the fewest votes are Tasha and Andrew, Antigoni and Charlie, and Danica and Jay.

At the end of last night's episode, the couples were stood around the famous fire pit when Danica received a text. It read: "Only one boy and one girl will be going home tonight. That decision is in the hands of your fellow islanders."
Both the boys and girls then received a message telling them they had to decide which member of the opposite sex to dump. This was not a light decision to make, and the final glimpse of the islanders viewers were treated to last night showed all of them looking devastated.
The credits then rolled with Iain Sterling's iconic voice making a dramatic announcement. The narrator said: "The wait is over. Casa Amor... is coming."
Since the news has broken, Love Island fans have been begging for Gemma Owen's head to be turned by other boys on social media. On Twitter, Rans said: "I need Gemma’s perfect man to walk into Casa Amor. The scenes from Luca could outdo Max and Stacey’s affair."
Bettina said: "Is Luca a lovebomber? I don’t trust his constant over-declarations & obsession. It just seems calculated (esp since he knows of her dad).
"Idk how Gemma doesn’t have ick as he chips away at her armor. Hopefully she’s just playing along until Casa Amor & turns her head."
"Cannot wait for Gemma to get to casa amor, find a guy she actually likes and come back with him and watch Luca’s heart shatter." said EA.
Every year, when Casa Amor is introduced, the boys and girls are split up with half of the original contestants moving into the new villa. A fresh group of singletons is then put in Casa Amor to stir the pot, as well as in the original villa alongside the existing contestants.
The introduction of Casa Amor excites fans of Love Island every year, as the villa tends to be the backdrop of some of the show's most explosive and entertaining scenes. After a few days away from their partners, the islanders must choose whether they want to stick with their original partner, or ditch them to couple up with one of the newcomers. They have to do this without knowing what their other half has decided to do.
