Love Island fans were left convinced scenes from the South African villa had been cut from the broadcasted show on Friday evening after a fight over the washing up erupted.
Ron and Shaq were at each other's necks at the end of Thursday’s episode in a disagreement over the dishes after the boys had cooked the girls a meal.
At the start of Friday evening’s episode, Shaq pulled Ron for a chat the following morning to thrash it all out.
Shaq said: “I just wanted to speak to you on a one-to-one basis, at the start me and you were very close and very tight and as time has gone on we’ve grown further apart.
“It stems from how much I care about Lana, I do care about you as well and I don’t want there to be any friction between me and you.”
Ron replied: “Aside from the Lana situation, I feel like the reason we’ve drifted apart was the Casey situation. I felt like you thought he was more important and you’d only known him for a couple of days.”
Ron and Shaq agreed to put the disagreement behind them, but that was not the end of it as Tanya and Lana then decided to confront Shaq about calling Ron over to help with the washing up
Tanya told him his comments and behaviour had been ‘rude’, adding of Ron: “He’s a grown man, he heard you the first time.”
Lana added: “It didn’t sit right and I felt like it wasn’t about the kitchen.”

The scenes left many Love Island fans at home convinced there could be strings being pulled by producers behind the scenes.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Why couldn’t they show the Shaq and Ron apology convo before having the people vote for couples????? They way the editors protect Ron. And now everyone has been really hating on Shaq.”
A second added: “This seems like the producers force-feeding us Shaq’s downfall as a cover-up for Ron’s redemption.”
“Stop making Ron the ‘good’ guy in this,” a third begged as other fans speculated the rift could have come out of more scenes that had not been aired.
One viewer wrote: “There’s friction between Ron and Shaq but the producers haven’t shown us the reasons why…”
A second added: “The producers have defo cut out drama between Lana, Ron and Shaq. I can feel it in my bones we are missing something.”
