Love Island fans concerned as they spot strange mark on Gemma Owen's arm in live final

Love Island fans have been left concerned for Gemma Owen after spotting a strange mark on her shoulder during the ITV2 show’s live final.

The ITV2 viewers were tuning into the last episode of the show when the couples read out their final declarations to one another.

Yet as Gemma gushed over her partner Luca Bish, Love Island viewers were left distracted by a strange mark on the international dressage rider’s shoulder.

As fans noted that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu had a similar mark on her shoulder in previous episodes of the show, one fan asked: “Why do Gemma and Ekin have matching scars on their shoulder?”

Another asked: “Why do both ekin and gemma have that thing on their arm?? are they burning and branding them or something.”

A fellow fan posted: “Can someone please tell me why both Gemma and Ekin have this mark on their arm.”

Another wrote: “Why do Gemma and Ekin have the same burn on their shoulder?”

In the final episode of the ITV2 dating show, the villa garden was beautifully transformed for Monday night’s Love Island 2022 Summer Ball, which saw the Islanders arrive in their finery.

As they took their seats for the evening, it was up to the couples to one by one read their declarations to each other – romance, tears of joy and emotion abounded as each couple expressed their true feelings.

The final four in the Love Island villa going into the final were Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page.

On Monday night, Laura Whitmore finally enters the villa to reveal which couple has triumphed in the ITV2 dating show’s eight series.

Ahead of the dramatic final, the bookies were backing Davide and Ekin-Su for the win to take home the prize money.

The fan favourite couple were odds-on favourites to go all the way and be crowned champions of this year's series of Love Island.

Befred had the Italian business owner and the Turkish actress as 1/8 on to win the public vote this evening – meaning gamblers would have to part with £8 in return for winning an additional £1!

The gambling company also predicted the fiery couple may become the first couple not to split the £50,000 cash prize – with both stars down as 25/1 to steal the prize money if they win.

The Love Island prize money stands at £50,000, but once host Laura has revealed the winners, they are asked to pick an envelope each – one of which contains £0, while the other holds the full £50,000.

Whoever has the envelope with the prize money in it is then asked whether they want to split it with their partner and receive £25,000 each, or if they want to keep the £50,000.

The final Love Island twist is intended to reveal once and for all if the Islander was on the ITV2 show for love or money.

None of the Islanders in previous seasons of the show have taken the bold and brutal decision to pocket the full cash amount themselves.
