Love Island fans have called out Jacques O'Neil for being 'disrespectful' to Paige Thorne as they came face to face in the Casa Amor recoupling.
The pro rugby player, 23, has been playing the field after leaning in for a kiss with newbie Cheyanne Kerr - despite being coupled up with the paramedic.
The new reality star also pretended he didn't know Paige and even cracked a joke when he woke up alone in bed, when he turned to the boys and joked: "Who is Paige?"
Viewers watching the scenes at home weren't happy and took to Twitter claiming his behaviour raised 'red flags'.
Ex-islander Chloe Burrows wrote on Twitter: "Jacques is terrifying".
Another fan responded to Chloe adding: " Love Island is educational for girls. We need to learn to spot red flags quicker."
"Jacques is dangerous leading the girls on," a second said, as a third chimed in: "Jacques is a f**k boy. Get him out."
Another viewer added: "I expected better from him considering he was calling paige his best friend not so long ago and reassuring her that he wouldn’t hurt her."
The star, who coupled up with the paramedic, was also branded as "disrespectful" as Paige was left in flood of tears when she discovered his betrayal.
"Jacques has been going on about how Paige is number one and he is focused on her, then he was talking and said 'Paige who?'," one said.
"I don't know what everyone else thinks about this but I think that was really disrespectful."
But appearing to lighten the tensions on Twitter one person quipped about actress Ekin Su as they tweeted: "Never mind Ekin Su give the Oscar to Jacques," while another fan of the show typed: "Jacques or Davide have to win this season".
Jacques initially appeared unapologetic for his behaviour and said in the Beach Hut: "With me I'm zero to 100, that's how I was with Paige from day one. And that's how I should be with Cheyanne now."
Love Island continues to air on ITV2 and the ITV Hub at 9pm.
