Love Island fans baffled as bombshell swerves reunion and says they're 'over it'

Love Island fans were left confused after one of the show's bombshells failed to turn up to the reunion party.

Afia Tonkmor — who was the first Islander to be dumped from the villa — was noticeably absent from the reunion, as she told fans on TikTok she is "over it now".

While her fellow co-stars filmed the show, the 25-year-old instead partied with friends in London.

Afia confirmed her absence on TikTok as she posted a video of her partying with pals. In the comments, a fan asked if she would be meeting up with her former co-stars at the reunion and she replied: "Nah."

The 25-year-old entered the villa towards the start of the series, with winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. She left the show after failing to make a connection with one of the boys.

Jacques O'Neill is also said to have given the reunion show a miss in a bid to avoid seeing Paige Thorne and Adam Collard.

"Unfortunately Jacques has decided he’s just not ready to see Paige quite yet and especially not with Adam," a source told The Sun.

"He’s made the decision to wait for a more suitable moment to talk to her again after everything he’s been through."

The Islanders got together to film the last instalment of the eighth series on Thursday, which is due to air on Sunday.

The annual reunion, where the stars gather for one final time to reflect on the series as a whole, is said to have been thrown into chaos, forcing producers to step in.

The filming took place in London and saw a row break out between Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe.

According to onlookers, Coco and Summer got into a "heated exchange", which fans think is a result of Coco's recent comments about Summer's boyfriend and former Islander Josh Le Grove.

A source has claimed that the argument may not be included in the televised reunion special, as it was not related to drama that unfolded in the villa.

When the cameras stopped rolling, a number of this season's cast enjoyed an afterparty organised by Antigoni Buxton.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the singer shared a clip of the party well underway, captioning it: "Came home to a madness."

Fellow Islanders, including Danica Taylor, Mollie Salmon and Liam Llewellyn can be seen in the jam-packed room as the music blasts and lights flicker.
