Love Island have dumped Catherine and Elom in a huge twist - and another dumping is on its way.
Tonight on the ITV2 show, a string of Islanders found themselves booted out of the programme in a huge twist. The public had been asked to vote who they thought were the most compatible couples, with the results being revealed tonight.
Leah and Montel, Kady and Ouzy and Jess and Sammy received the lowest votes and are also at risk of being booted off the show.
Speaking after her exit, Catherine said: "I’m sad to be leaving everyone, I’ve genuinely made friends for life in the Villa who I’m going to miss so much but I’m happy to be leaving with Elom. Not everyone gets the chance to find someone that they have a connection with, so I can’t wait to continue what we have on the outside. The girls have become my sisters so it was emotional saying goodbye to them but I’ve told them it’s not goodbye, but see you later."
Elom was shocked the pair were voted least compatible, but they plan to carry on things outside the villa.
"I was really shocked because Catherine and I have such a strong connection, everyone in the Villa could see that which is why I think everyone was so surprised with the result. It is Love Island though, so you have to expect the unexpected," he said, "Now we’ve left the Villa together, I think our connection is only going to flourish and get stronger.
"Catherine is exactly what I’ve been looking for and I feel like we’ve been getting closer every single day."
Elsewhere in the show, things got off to a tense start when Kady was quick to cause a stir, as she said: "Well, let’s cheers to an eventful day, a good day, great people, honest opinions and maybe not so honest opinions, let’s have a good night," before later adding to Molly and Zach's surprise, "Also, congrats to Zach and Molly to being officially closed off."
"Wow, what a cheers... I aint even cheersing to that," Zach said, as Mitch added: "What? You didn’t tell us about that!"
Molly then said: "Yeah, she just brought it up, thanks babe," seemingly annoyed by Kady's admission to the group.
Scott and Mitch, meanwhile, were busy vying for Abi’s attention, with the pair spending a lot of the evening together. Scott reassured her that she should do what's best for her, telling her: "If this is what you want to do, you aren’t doing anything wrong. Mitch is aware of the situation. You’ve got to do what you want to do…right now, you’re the only person I see a possibility with."
Later, Mitch confronted Abi over what happened, as he told his partner: "I wanted to talk to you all night tonight and we spoke for about ten minutes. Obviously I’m not going to interrupt a chat and by all means get to know Scott but I just feel like there is a level of respect to that and you didn’t give me any," with Abi admitting it was a good chat.
Whitney and Lochan went on a cute date to a secluded spot with views of the coastline as they toasted to their romance with a cocktail. He even told her: "You make me happy and I hope you think I make you happy too."
She then replied: "I want to be emotional and touchy feely…my type on the outside is not what I've gone for in here. Now I just want the nice guy," before Lochan joked back: "I can’t even pretend to be a bad boy."
However, after they returned from their date, a text message sent panic rippling through the villa.
