It was a nerve-wrecking night for some of this year's Love Island contestants, as they faced their biggest challenged to date: meeting the parents.
For Dubliner Dami Hope, there was a grilling from girlfriend Indiyah Polack's mum Dee and sister Shak, who were not impressed by his behaviour in Casa Amor. The Dubliner grew close to bombshell Summer in Casa Amor, and had a three-way kiss with her and Chyna.
Dami later ended things with Summer to rekindle his romance with Indiyah, but he is still in her family’s bad books. Dami apologised to Indiyah's mum and sister for his behaviour on the show tonight, saying that he was sorry he tried to "explore another connection."

However, Indiyah's relatives seemed to still be unhappy and Indiyah's mum Dee even called Dami by the name 'Deji' instead of his own name at one point, after bombshell Deji who Indiyah was coupled with after the events of Casa Amor. Indiyah herself accidentally made the same mistake, and in the beach hut she said: "Like mother like daughter. I literally want the floor to swallow me up."
Dami was also greeted virtually by his sister Femi and cousin Alicia, who let him know: “Grandma’s been watching!” When talk turns to Casa, his sister says: “Why? But why?”
Dami and Indiyah have automatically earned a place in the final on Monday night, after no couple voted for them on Friday after couples were asked to vote to dump the most incompatible couple from the villa. Meanwhile, there were emotional scenes as the other contestants were greeted by their families. Former England footballer Michael Owen has evidently given Luca Bish the seal of approval to date daughter Gemma, as wife Louise told the couple: “He is really proud of you, really proud. They’re all loving watching you, they’re missing you like mad.”
However, Paige Thorne and Adam Collard were brutally dumped from the villa tonight - just one day before the 2022 final. The two Islanders will miss out on being part of the big day after each of the couples were tasked with voting for the two least compatible pairs during Friday's episode.
The winning couple will be revealed on ITV2 from 9pm on Monday evening, when they will be given the option to split the £50k prize fund or steal it all for themselves.
