Love Island bosses are in talks to sign a multi-series deal with Maya Jama after her successful debut as the new host.
The 28-year-old replaced Laura Whitmore in the prime role on Monday night for the launch of the winter version of the hit ITV2 dating show.
Not only has Maya wowed fans with her daring outfits, including a striking black cut out dress, her charisma and natural likability has made her a big hit with viewers.
And now it has been reported that the producers are very keen to keep the popular host on.
It seems that experts believe she has demonstrated that she’s a “true star” and a natural host for the popular reality series.
Industry expert Jonathan Shalit told The Sun : “Maya is quite simply fantastic - a true star and now a household name."
He went on to say that she has "nailed" the role as a Love Island host and that she is a major TV force to be reckoned with.
Another source added: “You’d have to be living under a rock to have missed seeing a photo of Maya in that black dress yesterday and it will surely captivate those who previously only had a casual interest.
“One thing’s for sure - there will be a lot of urgent conversations around renewing her contract already under way.”
The Mirror has reached out to Love Island for comment.
Fans were even left disappointed when they tuned on Tuesday evening (17 January), as Maya was not on the show after she flew home to London.
Viewers took to Twitter to share how “boring” they found the episode without the captivating new host. One wrote: “Can we have a Love Island where there's no contestants, just an hour of Maya Jama being Maya Jama please.”
As another added: “This is so boring, where's Maya Jama.”
A third tweeted: “Where was Maya Jama tonight? I missed her.”
Maya is set to return to the show later this week as she jets back to South Africa to check in on how the new couples are getting along in the villa.
Love Island continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
