Love Island viewers have chosen to dump Amber Beckford and Ikenna Ekwonna from the villa. The two contestants were told to pack their bags at the start of Tuesday's episode (June 21) of the ITV dating programme as they had received the fewest votes from the public.
It comes after the islanders were asked to gather around the fire pit yesterday for the latest round of eliminations. The four other contestants at risk were Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Tasha Ghouri, Jay Younger and Andrew Le Page.
Amber and Ikenna join "bombshells" Remi Lambert and Afia Tonkmor on the list of dumped islanders in 2022. A total of 12 contestants remain, eight of whom were in the original line-up.
Reacting to the double-elimination on Twitter, viewers were quick to note that the departures leave Indiyah and Dami free to couple up. @afiadagreat said: "Now the love story between Indiyah and Dami can truly begin."
@bryonybriscoe posted: "Ikenna and Amber leaving? That’s poetic. Should have appreciated your partners".
@katelatemate11 tweeted: "Dami and Indiyah are free."
Amber and Ikenna's exit now free's up Indiyah and Dami to couple up. The dumping has led some viewers to claim the vote was fixed.
@Raa_him said: "This feels like such a fix lol tryna get Dami and Indiyah together #LoveIsland."
@alexisabelx added: "How predictable Amber and Ikenna left so Indiyah and Dami are free to couple up… well done producers".
@beccahitchins commented: "Knew amber and ikenna would be dumped tbh".
Love Island airs daily at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
