Love Island returned last night as we caught a glimpse of the 2022 singletons looking for love in a brand-new villa in Mallorca.
While viewers are given the impression that the islanders are given free rein to enjoy their summer in Spain, ex-islanders have been coming out to say that all is not what it seems.
From bedtimes to wake-up calls and specified dinner times, it seems the drinks aren’t flowing each night either.

Amy Hart, who appeared on Season 5 of the show, was answering fan questions on TikTok when she revealed the strict alcohol limit during filming.
She confirmed that they were only allowed to have one drink “on a normal night” and on longer stints on camera, they were given two.
Taking to social media to answer fans she said: “Yes, so it’s one drink on a normal night, and then two drinks if it’s a long night.
“A lot of us didn’t actually end up drinking in the end because what’s the point of having one glass.
“Some of us were a bit like ‘aw,’ and some nights you’re like ‘aw I just wanna get drunk, it’s been a stressful day or whatever.”
She then said the rule was probably appropriate given that things were heated enough some nights in the villa, with rows between cast members and said there was one other benefit to the rule.
She admitted: “But then when there was like massive rows, I would always think ‘now imagine that with alcohol,’ so I didn’t actually mind, and also no hangovers - which is always good.
“Then I came out and had one glass of wine and was on the floor .. fabulous.”
