Age has become a major talking point among Love Island fans after the age gap between one of the couples became known. The age factor has got many fans wondering if an eight-year age gap is wrong.
The question became a talking factor on social media when @Bethh_e's now viral tweet questioned the eight-year age gap between Gemma Owen, 19, and Davide, 27. Beth's tweet which garnered over 200,000 likes, said: " Love Island should be 21+ tbh, what business does a 19-year-old have kissing a 27-year-old???"
The varied age range of this year's Love Islanders means age will no doubt be a talking point in future episodes. To make those of you born before 2000 feel extra old, there are some Love Island contestants who were born in the year when Christina Aguilera released chart-topper Genie In a Bottle - 1999.
