Love Island is notorious for the explosive arguments in the villa but it is certainly not new Islander Andrew Le Page's cup of tea.
The Guernsey native was one of 11 contestants introduced to the public on Monday - a week before the official launch of the popular dating show.
The eighth series of the hit ITV2 programme gets underway on Monday June 6 at 9pm, with the real estate agent swapping the luxurious life of Dubai for the sunny villa of Mallorca.
Some may find it a strange move but Andrew explained his reasons for applying for this summer's hottest reality show.
Speaking ahead of Love Island's launch show, he said: "Because I’m actually single for once, so I thought why not? This is the best time to give it a go.
"I was in a relationship, I moved to Dubai and she stayed in Guernsey but fair play to her, she’s doing her own thing which is really good.
"It just wasn’t going to work so we decided to go our separate ways. We ended on good terms, which is good."
Andrew admits his dating history has "had some good times and some bad times" and he is relishing getting to know the other Islanders on a personal level.
He said: "I like going on dates but I definitely prefer being in a relationship. Dates are a lot of fun, I just chat rubbish, get to know them, they get to know me and have a bit of fun.
"I’ve got the apps, the chat is quite fun. But I definitely prefer meeting people on a night out - it’s a lot better in my opinion."
He reckons he will "bring laughs" as he is "someone that’s not going to take things too seriously" and hopes that can be reciprocated in the villa as argumentative people are a turn off for the 27-year-old.
"I like someone that I can vibe with, get along with, go on a night out with, and who’s not going to cause arguments. If you cause arguments, I just can’t be bothered - I’ve had that too many times," Andrew added.
"If I like someone I’m all for them, so I do fall quite quickly but I’m quite picky so it depends. I’ve got to really like you and then straightaway I’m all yours.
"When I’m with someone I'm very loyal, I’m a good boyfriend as when I’m with someone I’m all for them."
*Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
