Love Is Blind's Matthew Duliba Addresses His Behavior On Show

Love Is Blind season 6

Love Is Blind’s Matthew Duliba has offered an explanation for his behavior on season 6 of the Netflix series. In a recent comment on a Love Is Blind Instagram post, Matthew, 37, revealed that he lives an alcohol-free lifestyle and participated in the experiment sober. He attributed his difficulty connecting with women in the pods to this factor.

Viewers of the show witnessed Matthew engaging with multiple women in the pods, asking questions from a list he compiled. While the women provided thoughtful responses, Matthew appeared hesitant to reciprocate and reportedly walked out on one contestant mid-conversation.

Matthew expressed dissatisfaction with the portrayal of his character in the initial episodes of season 6, describing them as containing misrepresentations and falsehoods. He indicated his intention to share his side of the story in due course.

Despite facing criticism online for his behavior, including accusations of being unable to hold a conversation about love, Matthew clarified that he never left while a woman was speaking, contrary to what the show implied.

Matthew's time on Love Is Blind was brief, marked by a love triangle involving contestants Amber Grant, AD Smith, and Clay Gravesande. Following revelations that Matthew had been expressing intentions to propose to both Amber and AD, he chose to self-eliminate to pursue Amber, who subsequently left the pods early. AD went on to get engaged to Clay.

Contestant Sunni Haralalka recently accused Matthew of ghosting her in the pods, alleging that he was simultaneously dating her while pursuing Amber and AD. Sunni shared a TikTok video featuring a voiceover of a breakup speech, claiming that Matthew did not bid her farewell before exiting the series.

Matthew has not publicly addressed Sunni's claims. The first six episodes of Love Is Blind season 6 are now available for streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released weekly.
