Louise Thompson says she's still fighting for normal life after son's traumatic birth

Louise Thompson is continuing to work towards recovery following her little boy's traumatic birth, telling fans she's fighting for a "normal life".

The Made In Chelsea star, 31, suffered serious complications and came close to death during the birth of her son Leo-Hunter, who she shares with partner Ryan Libbey, in November.

Since then, she's been battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and has admitted she struggles to leave the house.

But she's working hard to turn things around.

Louise took to Instagram to show off the beautiful bouquet of flowers gifted to her by her boys, as she made it clear what she was working towards.

She wrote: "beautiful flowers from my boys. still fighting 4 u and for a normal life ahead"

"Sending love," fellow mum Ashley James told her.

While one fan commented: "You can do this Louise"

Another posted: "Keep going girl . It's a tough journey but you will return braver , stronger and more compassionate"

Louise, who starred on the reality show with her brother Sam, almost died twice during the birth of her little boy.

Explaining what had happened, she told her followers: "5 weeks ago I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Leo-Hunter Libbey weighing in at 7lbs. Unfortunately it wasn’t the easiest start for either of us. One ended up in NICU and the other ended up in ICU.

She added: "In all honesty I never imagined that so many bad things could happen to me, but to dance with death twice brings a whole new view of the world - a stark reminder of how short and sacred life really is."

Looking on the bright side, Louise ended her post: "I can’t wait to start our new journey together as a family of 3 and to start bonding little baby Leo."
