Louise Thompson spent time hiding in a bathroom to celebrate husband Ryan Libbey’s latest birthday in order to not wake their young son.
The 32-year-old former Made in Chelsea star and her personal trainer husband Ryan became first time parents to their young son, Leo, last year.
And with a baby boy to look after the pair have discovered the importance of securing time for themselves whenever – and wherever – they can.
And, indeed, it seemed there was no place better than the bathroom floor to celebrate Ryan’s 32nd birthday on Thursday – with time for candles and cake while Leo slept nearby.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Friday, Louise explained that she and Ry had celebrated in style.
She shared a snap of a Colin the caterpillar cake from M&S ablaze with candles on a small ledge.
She wrote; “Eating Colin on the floor in the bathroom so that we don’t wake up Leo.”
Sharing a second snap – showing Ryan lying on the floor beside his cake – she added: “Ahh the joys of parenthood.”
Ryan looked pretty happy to have his cake with the snap showing him smiling merrily as he looked up at the cameras.
Earlier in the day, Louise had shared a lengthy and gushing post about her husband as she marked his latest birthday.
Sharing a collection of snaps of the muscled chap, she wrote: “Happy birthday to without a doubt the best egg I know.”
She continued: “@ryan.libbey Today I’m feeling incredibly lucky to be alive and to be standing by your side.
“I get to spend the day with you in person which means I can wax lyrical TO YOUR FACE about how amazing you are and whisper ALL the gushy words that I know you’d rather I didn’t share over insta or in public because contrary to the world of tv and social media you’re a particularly private guy.
"Having said that, i want to share a quick note because everyone needs to know how great you are and to wish you happy birthday in the comments…
“Firstly, the world would be a much better place with more you’s in it. You are the best dad and partner I could ask for.
“In fact I don’t know WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOU, I freak out at the thought, but I won’t make this about me or about this mental journey we’re on, instead today is about spoiling youuuuuuuu and making sure you have the best bloody birthday as a first time dad as poss. I hope you relax and laugh lots and lots.”
She added: “Love you to the moon and back.”
