Cody Gakpo has had an excellent season so far for both club and country.
He is the top scorer in the Eredivisie for PSV Eindhoven with nine goals and he has also registered 12 assists. Now with the Netherlands at the World Cup, he has scored three goals, making him joint-top goalscorer alongside stars like Marcus Rashford, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United need attacking reinforcements and Gakpo has been heavily linked with a move. The player admitted that talks had already taken place over the summer but a move never materialised.

And if United were to go back in for Gakpo in January, his international manager, Louis van Gaal, has told the club exactly what they can expect from the youngster.
He told the media: "Things can change but Cody has everything it takes to become a star. He has a wonderful personality to become a star player because he is open-minded to anything and everything.
"Cody is a very young player - he is 23 but looks younger. He has only been playing with PSV for two, three years and always played from the left. He did not want to play in the centre or at 10, but he did have to for me. Now he thinks I am a great head coach!"
Gakpo is next in action against Argentina as he looks to lead his side through to the semi-final of the World Cup.
