In his pre-draft media availability, Wisconsin guard Johnny Davis revealed he has worked out for and met with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
“I interviewed with them, too, at the combine in Chicago, and then they came in and watched me work out where I’ve been training in Miami with my agency,” said Davis.
Davis spoke glowingly about the organization as he remembered its glory days of the 2010s and is excited about the future.
“I think it’s a really great organization. I’ve been watching them since they had Kevin Durant, James Harden and Russell Westbrook on the same team,” said Davis. “I think if they were to draft me, it’d be a great fit for me. I think I could just come in and make an impact by the way.”
The Thunder will have a decent shot getting an opportunity to draft Davis at No. 12 overall. Davis is projected to go in the lottery.
The 2022 NBA draft will be held on Thursday, June 23.
