Lottery, PayPoint and alcohol sales back at McColl's North East stores

It's business as usual for McColl's stores in the region, as the licensing issues hitting the chain look to have been resolved.

Barriers appeared over all alcohol, PayPoints and Lotto tickets across McColl's 1,100 outlets in the UK, as the chain was prevented from selling the items due to licensing rules following the Morrisons takeover earlier this month.

But when Chroniclelive contacted McColl's stores in Cruddas Park, Elswick, Whickham and Hylton Castle, Sunderland, staff confirmed that alcohol and Lottery sales had been restarted and PayPoint was operating as normal, after a short break.
