Bosses at the Trafford Centre are trying to find the owner of a locket containing a mum's ashes which was handed in after being found in the car park. The silver chain and locket is engraved with the message 'My mum, my best friend xx'.
It was found by Janice Flanagan on the ground floor car park near the entrance to Boots on October 8. Mrs Flanagan said: "I just looked on the floor and there it was. As soon as I picked it up I knew it must be someone's ashes.

"It must have a lot of sentimental value. I feel like I was meant to find it and reunite it with the owner."
A Trafford Centre spokesperson said: "On October 8 a member of the public kindly handed in a necklace to the guest services desk at Trafford Centre. The necklace appears to have sentimental value, and we are actively supporting Manchester Evening News to help the rightful owner be reunited with this special item.
"If this necklace belongs to you, please come to the guest services desk at Trafford Centre and provide proof of ownership – the Trafford Centre team are keeping this safe until the necklace is claimed by its owner."
