Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has criticised West Ham United manager David Moyes after his recent appearance on the Diary Of A CEO podcast.
Moyes appeared on the podcast on Monday, although it was filmed prior to that, with the latest episode of the show released less than 48 hours after the Hammers dropped into the relegation zone following their 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Hosted by businessman and one of the dragons from popular BBC business show Dragons Den, Steven Bartlett, Moyes spoke on the podcast about his career, life at West Ham and his plans to grow the club further, despite their on-pitch poor form.

Both his appearance on the show and the timing of it has led to criticism from ex-Palace owner Jordan, who owned the Eagles for a decade between 2000 and 2010, has taken aim at Moyes, suggesting he is looking to give off a certain impression of himself.
“What he’s done is lost himself in the company that he’s in,” Jordan told talkSPORT . “He’s sitting across a table from Steven Bartlett, a ‘Dragon’, who’s doing a thing called the ‘Diary of a CEO’.
“David Moyes is not a CEO, he’s a football manager. He’s disappearing into a territory where he’s advocating for a certain look.”
On the pitch, West Ham sit 18th having dropped into the relegation zone for the first time in three and a half months on Saturday with defeat at Molineux.
The fall has been the result of West Ham taking just one point of an available 21 from their last seven Premier League matches, with Moyes’ future at the club currently being assessed on a game-by-game basis.
Jordan thinks the quality of the players at Moyes’ disposal is more of an issue than the way they are applying themselves at present.
“I’ve seen West Ham recently, they’ve been poor,” Jordan explained.. “I don’t see the players not playing for him, I see that the team are poor.
“I see it looks out of sorts, it doesn’t look like it’s got a shape or an identity and that is David’s job, not sitting on Steven Bartlett’s podcast, ruminating on the bigger picture for West Ham.”
Jordan was then asked about whether Moyes should be kept as West Ham’s manager given the recent pressure on him and poor Premier League performances this season.
The 55-year-old said that if the difference between staying safe and risking relegation, West Ham would be right to relieve Moyes of his duties.
“Not if it costs West Ham their position in the Premier League, not at that cost,” added Jordan.
Next up for West Ham is a game at home to relegation rivals Everton on Saturday, a game where both managers Moyes and Frank Lampard are fighting for job security.
