Iconic former nightspot The Arches became 'a club' once more this week - for attendees of a huge conference in Glasgow.
The revelation will no doubt come as an unwelcome surprise to Glaswegians who frequented the venue under Central Station prior to its closure back in 2015 - after being part of the city's clubbing scene for more than two decades.
The space currently operates as street food market PLATFORM, but is also available to be hired for everything from 'large scale brand activations and launch events to corporate dinners and film screenings'.

During the week the space was hired out for attendees of The Organization for Human Brain Mapping conference - which was held at the Scottish Event Campus - to let their hair down, and footage posted online shows it was essentially a full-blown club night.
In scenes reminiscent of its past life as a clubbing mecca, one attendee posted a video on Twitter of the party in full swing as hundreds dancing along to a DJ - playing a Felix da Housecat track - under the iconic curved arches.
They tweeted: "In case you missed it yesterday. Here is the glimpse of how Human Brain Mappers enjoy house-techno-electro music."
The scenes will no doubt leave a sour taste in the mouth for the thousands from near and far who have fond memories of The Arches and who campaigned to try and save the iconic venue from closure.

Almost 25,000 people signed an online petition calling for the Arches to have its licence reinstated. However, it closed for good in May 2015 after Glasgow City Council's licensing board voted to limit the venue’s opening hours following complaints from police.
